I had forgotten how long 80 minutes of rugby was....

Good things first....Scrums were fantastic, people played in unfamiliar positions and performed well,  we had our first real "hot" game and did decent (only 3 fell out/ myself included), a few had nice runs and made good decisions, fewer no look passes.  All around rugby knowledge is increasing.

The bad; numbers (only 11), hands, keeping a flat defensive line, hustle on kickoffs and to the breakdowns.

Bottom line..... Show up for practice, we work on alot of our issues out in practice so we don't have to do it during the game.  YOU SHOW UP FOR PRACTICE, YOU/WE GET BETTER.  We have made our in-season practice schedule more accomodating.  Wednesdays only.  People will still be there on Mondays but it is for fitness.  Running, agility, and other fun stuff.  If you can't make it, go for a run.  With Daylight Savings Time it's not getting dark till about 8.

Tackling was an issue, we did make tackles/wrap-ups but we needed to take them to the ground.  A flat defensive line would
have helped with this.

I had alot of fun on Saturday, the scrums were awesome.  The forwards did a tremendous job.  The backs did well too.  I can't wait for our next match.  Now if we could only have had a better touch judge. jk Whitterbug
